Welcome to NAIAS 2019! Entering its 31st year, the North American International Auto Show brings together auto makers across the world for two weeks right in the heart of Detroit.
Although NAIAS takes place in Detroit’s Cobo Center, this guide will inform you what’s available to you in the GMRENCEN during your visit at this year’s show.
This year’s public show starts Saturday, January 19 at 9 a.m. and ends on Sunday, Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. Ticket information is as followed:
- Adults: $14 per person
- Seniors: $7 (65 and older)
- Children: $7 (7-12 years old; 6 and under free with a parent or guardian)

Food and Drink
Food and drink options are limited at Cobo Center. If you’re looking for quick bite, sit-down dinner or a stop for lunch, the GMRENCEN has more than 25 restaurants throughout the building. Restaurants include Andiamo Pizza Pie, Burger King, ConeyTown, Granite City, Mac ‘n Cheez!, McDonald’s, Panera Bread, Potbelly, Starbucks, Subway, Zoup! and countless others.

Where to Stay
Located in the center of the GMRENCEN, the Marriott hotel is just steps from the Cobo Center. The 70-floor hotel overlooks the famous Detroit Riverfront with floor-to-ceiling windows in its spacious rooms and suites.

Parking and Transportation
Getting around Detroit is easier than ever with a variety of parking and transportation options. This blog post includes information about the Detroit People Mover, Bird/Lime scooters and easy access across Jefferson St. through our skywalks. Additionally, you can find surrounding parking garages that are open to the public.
If you’re looking to access the GMRENCEN from Cobo, consider taking the Detroit People Mover. It only costs 75 cents and takes approximately 15-20 minutes to make a full rotation.
You may be interested in exploring our GM World space. The space showcases GM’s latest vehicles and provides a year-round auto show experience for visitors. Visitors can get up close and personal with the vehicles and have their questions answered by product specialists. Visitors can also take a tour of the GMRENCEN to gain even more insight into our history and GM World displays.
