Save yourself time and money by grocery shopping downtown! Many may not know, but the GMRENCEN is a convenient location housing several different grocery shops. The stores inside and around the GMRENCEN offer customers an easy and functional experience. Pick up all the things you need on a lunch break or after work.
Tenants and visitors can take advantage of these convenient shops:
City Market – Millender Center, Level 1
Head over to City Market’s deli counter to grab a premade meal. Here, you will find all the same items in your traditional grocery store including fresh produce, packaged foods, household items and more. No need to use extra gas to travel to a distant store when you can grab all you need, right after work.
Gourmet Deli – Towers 500 and 600, Level 1
Gourmet Deli will have you in and out with time to spare. Its location inside Towers 500 and 600 on Level 1 makes this shop perfect for visitors or those who work inside the GMRENCEN. Gourmet Deli carries bagels, muffins, Danishes, breads and cookies that are baked fresh daily. They serve cakes and cheesecakes; coffees, espressos and cappuccinos; sandwiches, pizza, soups and entrees and, last but not least, ice cream. Deli meats and cheeses by the pound are also available to take home.
Eastern Market – GM Plaza
Grocery shopping doesn’t have to be a chore. While Eastern Market is a tourist hot spot, it also has become a Detroit community hub, and we’re excited to welcome it back to the GM Plaza this summer. Find fresh produce from local urban farmers on the GM Plaza every Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., starting in June.
Andrew’s Downtown Detroit – Millender Center, Level 1
At Andrew’s shoppers can find liquor, beer, wine as well as lottery tickets. The store also carries daily grocery and deli items. Located in Millender Center, the store set up makes it easy to navigate. Find everything from plastic wear to snacks for lunch at this location.
Calumet Market & Spirits – Tower 300, Level 1
Calumet Market & Spirits is your one-stop shop. They offer health and beauty products, cold and flu remedies, snacks, sandwiches, fresh bagels, muffins and fruit. You can also pick from a large collection of General Motors items, souvenirs, water, juices and soft drinks. Check out their extensive selection of newspapers and magazines while you’re there, too. Calumet offers a large selection of ice cream, carefully-selected craft beer and wine, gourmet chocolates, fresh-baked pretzels and fine cigars.
CVS – Tower 200, Level 2
Stop by the CVS on Level 2, above the Jefferson Lobby and adjacent to the Edible Arrangements in the GMRENCEN for all of your household needs. CVS is known for their well-stocked shelves featuring beauty products to sports drinks to name-brand snacks and everything in between. Our CVS also features a pharmacy, meaning one less stop after work for you.
