Fourth Annual Holiday Headquarters at the GMRENCEN

Warm up with holiday spirit at the GMRENCEN this year! Holiday Headquarters is back, returning Monday, Nov. 26 through Friday, Dec. 14. We’re hosting more than 30 Detroit businesses throughout November and December on Level 1 in Tower 300 (near the AT&T and Verizon kiosks). For three weeks, vendors will show uniquely crafted gift items from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for your one-stop shopping experience. Holiday Headquarters also features a late-night shopping hour; open until 6 p.m. on Thursdays.

Holiday Shopping

Items for sale include everything from handcrafted art, Detroit apparel, handmade soaps, unique jewelry, delicious macarons, fun pet merchandise and more. We have some returning vendors, but new ventures include the likes of Burton & Levy, Speedcult, Gettees, Audrey Louise Designs, Bird Bee, LeDetroit Macaron and more.

The pop-up marketplace is a fantastic opportunity for the GMRENCEN to support local entrepreneurs while providing new shopping experiences for tenants. Over the past four years the event has tripled in size.

The GMRENCEN is any easy walking destination for those working in downtown Detroit. With our own Detroit People Mover stop, enclosed tunnel from the Millender Center and various walking paths, Holiday Headquarters is only feet away for individuals looking to shop on their lunch break.

In addition to the pop-up shops, the permanent retail stores inside the GMRENCEN are open during normal business hours and complimentary gift wrapping will be stationed inside Holiday Headquarters. Gifts bought inside Holiday Headquarters or from any other GMRENCEN businesses can be gift wrapped inside the store. Before or after shopping, be sure to dine at one of the GMRENCEN’s 30 dining options.

Santa at the GMRENCEN

Shoppers and children can also meet Santa in the Jefferson Lobby inside the GMRENCEN and tell him what’s on their wish-list while shopping at Holiday Headquarters. Santa arrives from the North Pole on Friday, Nov. 23 and will leave on Saturday, Dec. 22. Building tenants and visitors can meet with Santa from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
